JAW Gloves Review

JAW Gloves : Gloves for any occasion - Just Another Workout

Web Site: Available through http://www.justanotherwod.com Amazon or Kitbox

Cost: £29.99 per pair

Description:
I bought the JAW gloves on recommendation specifically to help protect my hands from ripping as I continued to try and develop my pull up strength.
I held off buying anything until I actually had my first hand rip,and then thought I would give them a whirl.

The gloves I chose are designed to cover the main area of the hand, with 4 slots that you cut into holes that your fingers go through and they are then secured via a velcro wrist wrap. You can also get leather grips, 2 finger grips and many more options if you do not want your whole hand to be covered, they also have a wide variety of kit which you can pick from as well. There is a sizing guide on both websites that sell them in the UK (they are made by an Australian company) so make sure you measure your hands and wrist to make sure you get the correct pair. I measured my hand wrong the first time, so my daughter ended up with a lovely brand new free pair of grips.

Initial fit is fine, quite tight on the hands, but not having large forearms, they do feel a little loose around my wrist, but once you start working out with them, they do stay in place and I haven't noticed any movement.
Chalk underneath and then on top and they cope well with sweat for most workouts. I wear them for 90% of my workouts, and have had them for 3 months... so the photo here shows the natural wear and tear.

Big question - have they helped my baby soft hands?

Yes.. last week we had a 90 kipping pull up workout and they (and my hands) held up well.

Disclaimer - the JAWS gloves work exceptionally well at keeping my hands intact, but without looking after my hands before and after a workout they wouldn't be in the shape they are in now. Don't rely on just the grips, personal care is a massive factor.

Buy from amazon : JAW Gloves

Quality Score: High

Value for Money  High - pretty expensive, but good quality, they are lasting well so far, and have met my expectations!
